Top Ten Auto Buy Authors // I Am Trash So Just Take My Money Already

Hey loves! Top Ten Tuesday is a book blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s prompt is Auto Buy Authors. Typically when choosing which books to read, I look at the synopsis, the description, some reviews. But for some authors, I will read any book of theirs because I know that the author won’t let me down!

1. Marissa Meyer

Marissa Meyer is my absolute favorite author!! I love TLC, Heartless, Renegades, and basically everything she writes, I like.

2. Holly Black

Like everyone, I’m trash for The Cruel Prince, but I also loved Holly Black way before then! The Tithe books were some of my first ever YA books I read back in middle school, The Curse Workers are actually my favorite books by her, and I also love love love The Darkest Part of the Forest and Coldest Girl In Coldtown. She can do no wrong!

3. Meg Cabot

Meg Cabot was my favorite author for the longest time, really. I loved the Princess Diaries books, all ten of them, and the Mediator books, Airhead, Abandon… I honestly think I’ve read more than 20 or 30 of her books, and enjoyed all of them! Although to be honest they might not stand up against my favorites now, Meg Cabot was my go to author for middle school and my first two years of high school and I’ll always have a sort of nostalgia with her books I love.

4. Leigh Bardugo

It seems the world loves her and I’m no exception! Six of Crows has consumed my life, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Grisha books and King of Scars as well! I’m so heavily invested in the Grisha world right now.

5. Tricia Levenseller

I’ve read three of her books now, and I loved all of them! I love her pirate or viking worlds, and her characters are so fun to read about, so I know I’ll read all her books no question!

6. Morgan Matson

Morgan Matson’s summer contemporaries reign supreme! I read Since You’ve Been Gone, and then I read the other four just for the author and I enjoyed every one of them so no regrets.

7. Akemi Dawn Bowman

I’ve only recently been introduced to her, and I’ve only read two of her books, but I adore them both! They’re so lyrical and beautiful, and the representation hits so close to home and I can’t help but devour her books.

8. Gayle Forman

If I Stay was one of my first YA books, and I loved it so much, so of course I went after her other books: Where She Went, Just One Day, I Have Lost My Way… there’s something so beautiful about her books that I can’t help but pick them all up!

9. Mary H. K. Choi

I’ve read two of her books, Emergency Contact and Permanent Record, and I adored them both! I love seeing Asian kids in college as I move to that stage myself. And also she’s the only author I’ve met so I kind of really idolize her haha.

10. Kiera Cass

The Selection is such a bad book but it’s my guilty pleasure and I absolutely love it and I’ve reread and reread the series sooooo… Yeah, I know her books aren’t objectively good but I adore them all and will read them all.
