Hey loves! So as you may or may not know, I’m OBSESSED with the book Harley in The Sky! Probably my most anticipated read for this year, and I got to read the ARC and I’m still sooooooo happy and overjoyed and pinching myself is this real that I got an early physical copy of the book I wanted to love, and ended up loving, so much???
I mean, I applied to be on the street team way back last summer or whatever, but I didn’t get on it, and I was devastated! But life went on. So a few months later, in December, I emailed the publicist and wrote basically a mini essay pouring out my soul over why I wanted it so much.
AND NOTHING. I was DEVASTATED! But then! Three weeks later I get a reply out of the blue that 10/10 made my day saying she was sending the book over!!!!!
AND NOW I’VE READ IT AND ITS AMAZING!!!!
I’ll definitely be posting a veerrrrry long review (I’ve already written it and I swear its like a ten page essay) raving about how much I love the book soon!

The multiracial rep (the main reason I wanted it)… is amazing. As a biracial person, I’ve never felt so understood, so heard, so loved.
Anyways. I also really really enjoyed the circus aspect of it. So when I saw that Jemma @ Fantastic Books created a Harley in the Sky/Circus tag, I was like YES I’M DOING THIS.
And here we are!
RingMaster – What book introduced you to your favourite genre?
Harry Potter // I honestly have zero idea. None. I’ve loved fantasy for my entire life, I can’t pinpoint what one book started it!! But, I also have loved Harry Potter for most my life, and was reading and loving it at a very young age, and it’s sort of a fantasy classic now, so I’ll put it!
Acrobatics – A fast-paced read.
Warrior of the Wild // I flew through this book in one sitting, just a few hours, and I loved it and absolutely couldn’t put it down the whole way through! There was so much action, character development, world building, everything, in just a few pages that I devoured!
Clowns – A book that made you laugh.
My Lady Jane // I don’t usually laugh out lout in books, but this is one exception!! It was hilarious I was laughing and enjoying myself so much as I read it! Would totally recommend whenever you need a smile 🙂
Knife thrower – A book that had you on the edge of your seat
Crooked Kingdom // I don’t think I breathed properly for the entire time I was reading Crooked Kingdom. There was so much stress over everything happening to my beloved characters GAH I just wanted them to not die is that too much to ask?? Needless to say, I was very much on the edge of my seat.
Tightrope Walker – A book you just couldn’t put down.
Winter // This book is a monster it’s an 800+ page beast of a book. With such a long book, you would think I would read it in more than one sitting… nope. I could not put this book down until I finished it and knew what happened.
Ventriloquist – A book with a great twist.
The Wicked King // This is the most twisty twister of a book I swear. I can’t even tell you it had “a” great twist–the entire book was just twist after twist after twist and I had no idea what was going on the whole time it was a wild ride
Magician – A book with a magic system you love.
Sorcery of Thorns // I mean, who wouldn’t love the magic system that is literally a magical library? Magical books? And also making contracts with soft cinnamon roll demons (well, they’re not all like that…but Silas is) in exchange for magic? I love it.
Static Trapeze – Best or Worst Cliffhanger.
This Cruel Design // The ending was just cruel. I’m so happy that This Vicious Cure is finally out so I can finally know what happened because that was crazy!!
Tagging…
Tiffany // Margaret // Lili // Alicia // Kelly // Caitlin // Alexandra
Let’s Chat
Are you super excited to read Harley in the Sky? Do you love the circus? Are you obsessed with The Greatest Showman like me? I’d love to chat in the comments below ❤
I’ve been obsessed with the idea of Harley in the Circus since I read the title and saw the cover. Then I read the synopsis and…. I wish I could have it in my hands already. Circuses are the BEST!! I’ve on a mission to read all the circus-related books I can before I leave for college. (Yes to The Greatest Showman obsession! My little cousins, sister, and I spent a whole summer blasting the songs and dancing like crazy!)

Also it’s going to be hard to top your post because your answers were PERFECTION. That plot twist in The Wicked King had me 100% shook. Actually pretty much the entire book lol! And I commend you on your choice of GIF. Don’t sue if my post is purely Greatest Showman GIFs, okay? 😉
