Hey friends! So a few months ago I did the Pancake Book Tag, but since then, the amazing Kat from Novels And Waffles made the Waffle Book Tag! Since I absolutely love waffles, I just knew that I had to tag myself and do it!!
The Rules
- Link back to the original creator, Kat @ Novels & Waffles
- Feel free to use any of the waffle graphics in this post, just make sure to credit her (pretty pretty please with lots of maple syrup on top) (I’m definitely going to be using them because they’re super cute!!! –Kay)
- Tag as many people as you want (or don’t want) to. No pressure here, folks 🙂
Harry Potter // This. This is the bookworm classic, the book of my childhood that I still adore, the book that I reread every single summer, the book that everybody knows, everybody can reference, everybody loves.
Waffle Note: obviously I love Belgian waffles they’re a total classic duh
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before // This is the most wholesome of books and I absolutely love it, and the whole series. Hands down my favorite contemporary, one of my favorite books of all time, one I’ve reread a million times and will never stop making me smile.
Waffle Note: I don’t really care whole wheat or white but wheat makes me feel super healthy which I’m not so good I guess
Ella Enchanted // This is basically the book of my childhood. I’ve read it so many times that it’s falling apart/has a super creased spine and folded pages, and I can basically recite parts of it. I just love Ella!
Waffle Note: these fill me with no nostalgia lmao I never had them
Rosie from Love A La Mode // Rosie is so sweet and it may or may not have to do with the fact that she’s an amazing pastry chef! She basically lives and breathes sugar and her personality is just as sweet at all of her confections!
Waffle Note: chocolate waffles are absolute perfection
Words In Deep Blue // Okay fine I might have thought of this because it has the word “blue” in the title and I’m unoriginal. This book is seriously so beautiful and sad and had me near tears and I love it but it made me so sad but it’s so amazing.
Waffle Note: blueberry waffles are amazing and I always put blueberries (frozen or fresh but blueberries nonetheless) on my waffles
Red, White, and Royal Blue // This book is a bit different for me because it’s adult romance, and as a legitimate teenager, I read basically all YA and no adult romance!! But with all the hype I knew I had to pick this one up, and I’m so glad since I love love love it!
Waffle Note: of course I love waffle cones because ice cream + waffles = perfection
The Lunar Chronicles // Out of dozens or hundreds of series I’ve read, this is the only one I actually own! I’ve read each book 2-3 times, and reread portions of them a bazillion times too, and I just love these books to death. Fairytale retelling set in space??? YES!
Waffle Note: I will stick with maple syrup until the end
My Library Card // Not sure if this counts as a “bookish accessory” but I don’t really have any traditional “bookish accessories.” I’m not into consumerism and buying books, so my trusty beat up library card, which is still a Kid’s Card! with bubbly letters and starfishes on it that I got 10 years ago and have used hundreds maybe thousands of time since is basically what lets me be the bookworm I am!
Waffle Note: my waffle iron is named Philip
I’m tagging anyone who loves waffles! Since I was too lazy to find actual people to tag whoops.
Let’s Chat
Do you like waffles? Would you rather have chocolate waffles or blueberry? (Blueberry is a classic for me but chocolate is a special treat and I love chocolate so I’d go with that). Do you love any books here? I’d love to chat in the comments below!
I’m not really into waffles but this post is sooo cute. 🙂 🙂 I enjoyed reading it Kay. Also, ame thoughts about Words in deep Blue. It was so sad but so amazing but it was the cover that really made me bought it, I didn’t expect to fall in love with the story too. 🙂

I LOVE THIS. Your waffle notes were on point, and so were all the books you mentioned. I love so many of the books you do, like Harry Potter (ugh, the forever classic), TATBILB (you’re right, this is the most wholesome book) and RW&RB, which was also out of my comfort zone but ended up being amazing. Lovely post! ❤

Red, White and Royal Blue was different to me as it was the first adult contemporary I read but I’m glad I did as I enjoyed reading it!! Same as you really!!
The Lunar Chronicles is really fun and I loved Cress so much!! I love the cast of characters as well!!

Lovely answers, Kay! ❤ Harry Potter will always be a fun nostalgic read, and I've read the Lunar Chronicles way too many times to count! Words in Deep Blue is literally the PERFECT answer for that question!

I’m so proud of myself for sticking until the end with The Lunar Chronicles too! It’s such a solid series, and such a good way to introduce people to YA sci-fi!
Ahhh, To All the Boys is the definition of wholesome. It’s just so cute—like the embodiment of the word! The representation is so good too. I’m really sad that I didn’t get to read Ella Enchanted as a child 😦 I really feel like it would impact me more if I had read it when I was younger, but maybe one day I’ll pick it up.
Best of luck with college, btw 💕
