My Favorite Siblings In YA Books || Happy National Siblings Day!

Hey loves! Did you know that today, Wednesday April 10th, is National Sibling Day in America? I’m a sibling and I love hanging out with my older brother! I also love reading about families and siblings in books, so I decided to compile a list of my favorite siblings in YA books for National Siblings Day!

The Song Sisters From To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

15749186

These three are absolute sibling goals! Song girls for life ❤ I love their individual interactions with each other, from Kitty being sassy and awesome, to Margot giving Lara Jean advice, and of course I just love Lara Jean!

asset 1

Scarlet and Tella from Caraval

27883214

I love reading about Scarlet and Tella! It was especially amazing how Caraval was told from Scarlet’s POV, and Legendary was from Tella’s, so we got to see both of the amazing girls! It’s so clear how much they care about each other no matter what other crazy things are going on in their lives.

asset 1

Cath and Wren from Fangirl

16068905

These two girls, identical twins, definitely branch out from each other when they get to college! But at the end they ultimately care so much about each other and always come back to each other (and love Simon Snow together!) and how could I not love them?

asset 1

Severin and Tristan from The Gilded Wolves

39863498

These two aren’t technically siblings or related to each other, but they’ve grown up together and look after each other and that makes them the truest brothers there could be. I loved watching Severin care for Tristan no matter how crazy their life could get! (also, my heart is still broken from the ending…)

asset 1

The Weasleys from Harry Potter

136251

I mean, the Weasleys are the best family and wouldn’t anyone want to be a Weasley sibling! From Fred and George being the ultimate pranksters together in crime, to Ron playing Quidditch with Ginny, to Bill and Charlie looking after their family, all these siblings are incredible!

asset 1

Jude and Noah from I’ll Give You The Sun

20820994

If I had to name one sibling book, it would definitely have to be this one! Told from the alternating perspectives of Jude and Noah, two artists who used to be so close and have a rift between them, it’s such a beautiful story, and shows how ultimately siblings are forever.

asset 1

Serina and Nomi from Grace and Fury

36546635

These two girls always knew they would be with each other forever, until they’re suddenly ripped apart from each other, Serina taking the fall for Nomi to protect her. And no matter how far apart they are, protecting each other is always their number one priority.

asset 1

Katniss and Prim from The Hunger Games

2767052

From the first chapter when Katniss volunteers to almost certain death to protect her little sister, this pair won me over. Katniss would do anything for Prim, and Prim is so helpful and caring about Katniss too.

  1. This is such a great post idea! I love the Weasleys so much- their sibling relationships were surprisingly developed, considering none of them are hugely major characters besides Ron. I would also add Julian and Adam from A List of Cages (not biological, but still adorable) and Simon Spier and his two sisters from Simon Vs. The Homosapiens Agenda- all adorable, sibling relationships make me so happy. ❤

  2. Cute post! 😀 Oh, I love Jude and Noah! ❤ And of course, the Weasley siblings and Katniss and Prim are also so good. But now that I think about it, I can’t remember a lot of sibling relationships in other books… I guess most of the MCs in the books I read are either only-children or orphans? 😂

  3. AHHH so many great siblings in one post! The Weasleys are obviously goals, and I also love the Song sisters, Cath and Wren, and Severin and Tristan ❤ Katniss and Prim too…. though jeez, why do so many sibling stories have to end sadly??

  4. Such an incredible post with so many great books mentioned! I’ve genuinely been looking at my shelves, attempting to come up with other siblings that I absolutely fell in love with, but I’m mostly just brought back to all of their horrible back stories and fights 😥

I would definitely have to add Cole and Liam Stewart from The Darkest Minds though. Just like every other brother duo in fiction, they do bicker a lot, but there’s something about them that just makes my heart melt.

  5. Your choices are super interesting! If I had to choose a few, I’d pick Isabelle & Alec Lightwood from The Mortal Instruments, Day & his brothers in Legend, and I’m currently reading the Mara Dyer series and I love Mara and her brother Daniel 💖

  6. Siblings are the best! I have a sister and a half-brother, and I love them both so much 🙂

Your choices are brilliant, too. I immediately thought of the Song sisters (I juuuust finished reading Always & Forever!), and I also love Cath & Wren, the Weasleys, and Katniss & Prim ❤ I bought I'll Give You The Sun last month and I'm so excited to finally read it – the plan is to read it this month, so I'm so excited you listed it! 😀
