My One Year Blogiversary! || Things I Accomplished And People I Love

TODAY IS MY ONE YEAR BLOGVERSERY!!!

Ahhh! I can’t believe it! It really does not seem like that long ago that I started blogging and yet somehow here we are??? It doesn’t make sense?? But also I’ve met so many amazing bloggers and learned so much about myself as a reader, writer, and blogger, and just had such a blast so I guess that it does make perfect sense??

Anyways, of course I wanted to make a post today to celebrate!! I wanted to take a moment to talk about some of my accomplishments from this year ❤

Accomplishments

I got 794 followers!! That’s so amazing and wild and insane to me!! There are seven hundred and eighty seven individual people in this world following my blog, and each and every one makes me a little bit happier! I was seriously so happy when I crossed 50 followers, and then 100, and then 200, and here we are now!!

 

I posted 80 reviews! Reviews are definitely the hardest type of blog post for me to write because they actually require me to be semi coherent and not just waving my arms around bsing my through life so I’m really proud of myself for having written so many! I’ve definitely seen my review style evolve from a year ago to today haha!

 

I read a lot of “hyped” books! Before I started blogging, I didn’t read blogs have a Goodreads or watch Booktube so I really didn’t know what was popular and just picked up whatever seemed interesting at the library! This year I was introduced to so many phenomenal authors and books through blogging and I’m so happy I finally read them!

 

I wrote some discussions! This is lowkey so vague but I didn’t label my discussions so neatly as my reviews so I’m not sure how many I wrote haha! I honestly didn’t even know discussion posts were a thing until I started blogging–at first I thought it was all tags and reviews! Discussions are also a challenge for me to write, but they’re definitely my favorite because I love interacting with you guys in the comments and thinking about things from different perspectives!

 

I got comfortable sharing my true thoughts! When I first started blogging, like a lot of people, I thought I had to be always positive and fit with the norm or what was expected of bloggers. I thought I had to give all books 4 or 5 stars, not bash on beloved books, and always have a peppy attitude. Now though, I’m confident letting my sarcastic, rambly, weird self out, giving my true opinion, and sharing my personal opinions, and I can proudly say that this blog really reflects me.

At the end of the day, there’s no way I would have been able to accomplish anything without all the amazing bloggers that make up the book blogging community ❤ I love you all so much so I wanted to thank a few of you who really made my first year of blogging.

I honestly can not believe how far my blog has come in the one year since I’ve made it! I know I wouldn’t be anywhere without the help of these amazing people who really made my year ❤ As I was writing this post, I just realized how I’ve fallen out of contact with some of the amazing blogger friends I made last year and that made me so sad! This year, I’m determined to reconnect with people, so here are some of the people who made my first year amazing. Know that whether or not we’ve spoken recently, I owe you so much and am so grateful to you all, and am determined to make even better memories this year!!!

• Malanie, who helped me so much in the beginning and has such amazing blog posts
• Emma, who I just adore talking with and also has the best reviews ever

• Dani, who was SO AMAZING in getting me off the ground and is one of the best people in the world
