Harry Potter Anniversary Day Seven: Thank You <3

Well, this is it. Today, June 26th is the 21st anniversary of the original publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Britain. This marks the end of Harry Potter Anniversary week over at Margaret from Weird Zeal’s blog, and for today, the task is to write a thank you to someone and tell them just what Harry Potter means to us.

I’m actually putting out two blog posts today because I always post a Top Ten Tuesday on Tuesdays, but there was absolutely no way that I would miss the Harry Potter Anniversary ❤

Dear J.K. Rowling,

This post is dedicated to you, to thank you for bringing the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter. I was first introduced to Harry Potter at such a young age that I can’t even remember a time in my life where I didn’t know his story and frankly, I don’t want to imagine a time like that.

I’ve reread the books and rewatched the movies so many times, over and over and over again, yet they never ever get old. Each time I return to Harry’s magical world, I find myself discovering something new, and because of that, I know that I’ll be able to keep reading and loving Harry for the rest of my life.

Harry Potter has also always been something I can discuss with the important people in my life. I’ve spent time imagining I was in the wizarding world with my family, discussed ships and sorted friends into houses with my friends, and even talked about the wizarding world with people I’ve never met on the internet. I don’t even know what the relationships I would have with people would be if we didn’t have Harry.

Finally, thank you for being such an inspiration. As a young aspiring author, I’ve looked up to you for longer than I can remember, hearing all about how Harry Potter was rejected by numerous publishers, but you persevered. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration, such an amazing author, and for giving us Harry.
