I was tagged by Bernard’s Book Blog for The Ultimate Book Tag a loooooooooong time ago! And then it seems like I forgot this??? But I realized I had NO POSTS scheduled this week and had a mini heart attack but then I found this and now it’s all sunshine and rainbow and fun times 🙂
Do you get sick while reading in the car? I don’t read that much in the car–never for more than, say, 20 mins or so, so…yeah? I mean, I just don’t like to read in the car idk. It just seems kinda uncomfortable but I don’t think I’ve actually gotten really nauseous…yet…
Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why? Honestly, I feel like Meg Cabot has a really distinct feel that I really like. It’s probably why I’ve read 30+ of her books. All her protagonists feel so real and honest and relatable!
Harry Potter or Twilight? Give three points to support your answer? Um…why is this even a question? Harry Potter obviously. (1) It actually has a strong protagonist instead of a whiny girl who only exists to talk about how hot Edward is, (2) The premise actually makes sense. Twilight is so contrived omg if you were immortal would you really want to do high school over and over again? Sitting still in those insanely uncomfortable desks for 90 mins straight is d e a t h. (3) The writing is so amazing you can tell by the way Rowling writes (the day I learned “umbrage” means “offense or annoyance” I was shook) how educated she is and there’s so much foreshadowing and minor details it’s amazing instead of Meyer’s sentences “he was so hot.”
Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is in it (besides books). I mean I carry my backpack to school full of crap like math notes but besides that nah haha.
Do you smell your books? Usually not. I get almost all my books from the library and there’s no knowing where those things have been.
Books with or without little illustrations? I don’t really care honestly. I’m here to read, not look at pictures. If they’re there, that’s cool and fun to look at, but if not my imagination does all the work ❤
What book did you love while reading but discovered later it wasn’t quality writing. Lol confession time when I read Twilight when I was, like, 12, I really liked it (never anywhere near as much as HP though, even then). Rereading that makes me want to conk Bella over the head with a baseball bat now, whereas rereading HP makes me so happy!
Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Can’t think of any right now. Which is sad. I’m just a boring person 😦
What is the thinnest book on you shelf? Well I still have those Rainbow Magic fairy books, which are like 50 pages, so one of those I guess haha.
What is the thickest book on your shelf? Probably Renegades by Marissa Meyer. Maybe Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte if you count all the random introductions and endnotes and stuff.
Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author? It’s my dream to be a published author! I actually write stories on Wattpad too 🙂 My short story, The First Performance, I entered in a contest and won a laptop for (the laptop I’m writing on right now!!!) It is my absolute dream to be published one day ❤
When did you get into reading? I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t reading!
What is your favorite classic book? I’m not sure. Probably The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, or Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
In school what was your best subject? My best subject right now is biology!
What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or The Hunger Games? Well Carry On by Rainbow Rowell is pretty much a clone of Harry Potter. It’s pretty well known but obviously nowhere near as well known as HP haha.
What is a bad habit you always do while filming? I’m not a booktuber! Just a little book blogger 🙂
What is your favorite word? How can you just ask me this? It changes all the time! Indefatigable is pretty fun. Pluripotent is also fun. And ostentatious. Amalgamate. Juggernaut. Perspicacious. Ameliorate. Apocryphal. Peripatetic.
(Look what SAT prep has done to me!!!)
Are you a nerd, dork, or dweeb? Or all of the above? Nerd. Very nerdy. I mean, just look at all those words above and try to tell me I’m not a nerd.
Vampires or Fairies? Why? How about faeries? Faeries 100% I love them they’re dark and cruel and have so much awesome mythology! For example:
Shapeshifters or angels? Why? Shapeshifters! How is that not awesome to be able to shift into something else entirely?!
Spirits or werewolves? Why? Eh. Probably werewolves. But I’m kind of over the hot alpha male thing. I like the werewolves that focus more on their mythology and stuff than purely romance!
Zombies or vampires? Probably vampires just because I’ve never cared about zombies. But vampires need to stop getting so romanticized. Vampires don’t sparkle!
Love triangle or forbidden love? 200% forbidden love because LOVE TRIANGLES NEED TO DIE A PAINFUL DEATH.
Full on romance books or action packed with a few love scenes mixed in? Full on action! But also…I like romance books too–I like both! But for romance, I like more high school contemporary that has romance as a main point, but also deals with other stuff like high school drama, college, platonic friendships, and a conflict that does not revolve all around the romance!

I totally agree on faeries > vampires !! I think the possibilities can be endless with faeries while we all know that vampires really just suck blood and all that mumbo jumbo lol. I still kind of enjoy vamps, tho not as much. Lovely post 🙂
