Book Blogger Insider Tag!

I was tagged by both LaRonda from Flying Paperbacks and Larissa from Book Bosomed Blonde a looooooooooooooooong time ago for the Book Blogger Insider Tag! And then I started this but kind of forgot about it but when I was tagged again by Kara from Bernard’s Book Blog I knew it was the world telling me I had to do it so here it is!!

Where do you typically write your blog posts? I write them on my laptop, usually on my desk or the dining room table, sometimes on my bed or the couch 🙂

How long does it generally take you to write a book review? It depends on the book! It’s fairly easy for me to write a review on a book that I really didn’t like, or on a book that I completely loved, but it takes longer for one that’s pretty average. I’d say somewhere between 30 mins to an hour!

When did you start your book blog? January! It’s hard to believe that I haven’t even been here for three months because it feels like so much longer ❤

What is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion? The time commitment. Blogging takes up wayyy more time than I thought it would. As I’m writing this, I’m supposed to be studying…

What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion? The people! Everyone here is so awesome! This community is so supportive and friendly and amazing 😀 And now I can fangirl about books and yall fangirl right back at me, as opposed to my non reader in person friends who just don’t get it!

What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far? I just recently wrote a post entitled Why Food Books Are The Best Books and tbh I think that title speaks for itself haha. Also it was kind of jokey/not as serious and that’s pretty much who I am so yas.

What is your favorite type of blog post to write? I like doing lists and Top Ten Tuesday posts so far! It’s great getting to fangirl over many many books at the same time 😀

When do you typically write? I tend to write in the early afternoon when I just get back from school as an effective way to procrastinate doing my homework!

Do you review every book you read? I try to review every book I read right when I read it on Goodreads! And then I try to stagger/schedule them on my blog so I have an abundance of posts when I read fewer books! I’m a little behind right now, but I should be caught up on reviews this weekend 🙂

How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby? Well, I don’t drink coffee. And I don’t have Netflix either. AND I don’t have a fur baby! I guess I just sit here like a boring person on my laptop, usually blasting spotify in the background 😀

When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book? I pretty much do all my reading on the weekends–don’t really read during the week. The reason for this being that I’m the type of person who reads an entire book in one sitting–I just can’t stop myself I have to know what happens! During the week I know I’ll read for hours instead of studying so I have to control myself haha. So I try to write all my reviews the same weekend I read the book: 1-3 days 🙂 Ofc this week I’m behind because life (aka I read too many books over spring break and I couldn’t keep up…I’ll get on that pronto).

  1. ah thank you so much for the tag! i did this a while back but i’m obsessed w/ reading people’s answers to these questions. i totally agree that it’s muuuuuch easier to write a review for a terrible or awesome book than a meh or pretty good one?? which is why there’s a silver lining to 1 starring books lmao

  2. Fun tag! Isn’t it crazy how much time blogging takes? Who knew?? Still the community makes it worth it, definitely! I like to review as soon as I can after reading a book too.

  3. I love your tag, I do a lot of the same things that you do and I always thought I took too long for reviews, but seeing others also take as long, it makes me feel good 😅 Great Tag!

  4. Haha, I’m glad you ended up doing this tag! I love reading about other bloggers, especially my favorites! 😀 Ugh, I wish I could be like you and read books in one sitting. I used to do this all the time, but nowadays it has to be a reeeeally good book for that to happen. I just get so distracted!

Also. If you want some ideas, I grabbed a huge list of bookish discussion ideas that I can send to you! I haven’t used any of the ideas yet (I’ve been too pre-occupied with tags, haha), but there are some good ones on there! Send me a message on Goodreads if you want me to send it to you!

    1. Me too 🙂 Haha I know the feeling with distraction–a lot of the time I have to have my phone on silent mode or else I’ll go crazy when I hear it ping! (and it’s usually some group chat spam anyways loll) That would be great! I just realized that we aren’t Goodreads friends but gonna go fix that right now haha
