The Origin Story…

…is not very cool. I’ve liked readingย forever.ย I’ve always been the reader out of my family and friends; I don’t know anyone in real life who likes books as much as me. Consequently, I can never fangirl with people in real life over books! Around a year ago, I discovered Goodreads, and shortly after, book blogging. For a long time, I just lurked, reading other people’s reviews on Goodreads and their blogs. And then finally, in January this year, I decided to just go ahead and make both ๐Ÿ™‚ And it was one of the best decisions of my life because the book blogging community is so friendly and awesome ๐Ÿ˜€

My Blogging Advice:

Tbh guys, I don’t know why I’m even allowed to give blogging advice since I’ve been blogging for less than a month! But there are definitely a few things I’ve noticed so here’s my advice ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Comment, comment, comment!ย From what I’ve read on other people’s blogs, and what I’ve seen myself, the best way to get new people to come to your blog is by commenting on other blogs! I mean, how else are people ever going to see you? Also, it’s great when you see someone’s blog that you love and comment on it, and they’re nice so they follow your comment back to your blog and comment on your and then YAY FRIENDS!

2. Organization…ย is something that I’m really bad at. Don’t be like me and actually get yourself organized. I’ve been blogging for less than a month and I’ve already gotten stressed as my number of scheduled posts dwindles down! Just yesterday I was finally getting caught up on a tag that I remembered being tagged in, but I couldn’t rememberย whoย tagged me and I spent so long searching my email, blogs I thought it might have been, etc before I found it! I’m trying to use a blogging notebook, and I think it’s really helping ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE AWAAARD, you really deserve it๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ โคโคโค and Thank You sooo much for nominating me. I’m also the “reader” in my family and friends group, like literally no one in my famoly or friends like to read. Which is really sad because that’s a big part of my life that I can’t share haha. But I’ve found this blogging community to be really helpful and niceโค btw: I’m horrible at organizing๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I totally agree with your advice to comment a lot! Great post! โค๏ธ

  4. The advice is spot on and keeping a blogging notebook is super useful. I use one to jot down content ideas but in terms of scheduling and remembering what posts to write, I made a computer spreadsheet instead. I find that easier to use if I need to change something around or add something at the last minute. Plus, if I did one in a notebook, I’d take great pains to make it perfect and that would take too much time away from actually writing the posts.

Thank you for the nomination. I’m afraid I have already done this award tag a couple of times before, but here’s the link to the post if you want to see any of the answers. https://adreamerslibrary.wordpress.com/2017/04/21/the-blogger-recognition-award/

      1. It’s just a Numbers spreadsheet. I didn’t get a template online or anything, and I made it when I was figuring out my way around my MacBook and the apps. I’m cursing my scheduling and organisation now though because I want to add a review and I need to move everything around to fit it in.

  5. Ah, don’t worry! For the life of me i can never remember tags and whatnots and i even make a note of them. Then of course i forget about the note or where i put it… ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you for nominating me! It’s so sweet of you! I will try and get around to do it ๐Ÿ˜€
