As you probably know, I just started this blog and I’m eagerly looking for bookish friends to connect with π I found The Newbie Tag over at Bookgraphy and was excited to do it myself!
Why did you start this blog?Β I’m a crazy bookworm who LOVES reading! I breathe books and stories, and am always eager to share my thoughts about them with other people. Except…none of my in person friends, or my family, reads like me, so I’ve fled to the internet to fangirl with people!
What are some fun and unique things you can bring to book blogging?Β My awesome personality? (No I’m not egocentric xD). I just hope to share my personal thoughts on books and bookish things, and hope people can enjoy themselves reading my posts π
What are you most excited about with your new blog?Β I guess just being able to talk with other amazing bookish people. And also discovering new books; my method in the past was just walking into the library and picking up whatever sounded interesting. I think knowing more books beforehand will help me read more books I actually like instead of spending time on a bad book when there’s stillΒ hundredsΒ waiting in the TBR.
Why do you love reading?Β I don’t really know…it’s just something I do, like I eat, I sleep, I read. I love being able to hear stories and go to a new world. I love the emotions a good book can induce.
What book or series got you into reading?Β I don’t really know again; I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t always reading. It’s just a part of me. I guess the first series I really loved was the Rainbow Magic Fairies by Daisy Meadows back in kindergarten π I have some of the really old ones too, back before they were super popular!
What questions would you ask your favorite authors?Β It really depends on the author and their books! I would probably ask where they got their ideas, their characters, their stories.
What challenges do you think starting a blog will be hardest to overcome?Β I’m a kind of person who gets really hung up on numbers and stats, so I think it might be hard for me to be motivated when so few people read my posts. But I know at the end of the day I’m doing this because I love reading, so I’ll keep that in sight π
When did you start reading?Β When I popped out of the womb. In all seriousness, I don’t know; I can’t remember. I’ve always been the most avid reader out of everyone I know.
Where do you read?Β My favorite place to read is my bed. But I’ll actually read just about anywhere!
What kinds of books do you like to read? Almost everything I read is YA. But under YA, I love fantasy (especially fairytale retellings), and contemporary/teen romance. But it’s good to have variety and I’ll really read just about anything except horror.
That was the book blogger newbie tag! If you’re a newbie, you should do it too! I’m so excited to have joined the book blogger community π
Hello! π Great tag – I’m looking forwards to hearing more from you! πβ€οΈπππ€π

Welcome! I understand what you mean my family and friends they don’t really enjoy reading as much as I do, so it’s not nice when I’m super excited about a book and want to talk to someone but they don’t really care or understand haha oh and also I don’t read horror!!!

Don’t worry so much about numbers. I had roughly 10 followers for the first 1.5 years of blogging. I know it effects ARCs and such, but as long as you are happy with what you post it shouldn’t matter. I totally understand that it can be hard to not let the numbers bother you, but there will be a point when they just make you excited rather than upset. *”wise” older blogger mode off*
I read a ton of those rainbow fairy books when I was younger, but I ended up being more into the Warriors books (the ones with the cats) more than anything growing up.

Thanks for the advice! I look forwards to that day; for now I’m super happy to be connecting with other book bloggers–especially wise old bloggers π
I remember the Warriors books! I didn’t read very many of them, but I do remember seeing them everywhere!

I read the first 4 series (6 books each) of them and then stopped. I was really mad at the ending of the last one I read for years. I think they’re stilling writing them.
